Mixer Packings

Most Mixers are packed with PTFE packing again and again and again. The issue is Mixer Packings usually compress radially from shaft run-out causing leakage. Multi-core packings permit the natural recovery of Silicone to energize the packing, keeping the shaft sealed. A simple solution to a common problem. Style 278 is FDA Approved.

Mixer Packing made with aComposite braid, FDA approved PTFE filaments braided around FDA approved white silicone rubber cord forming a packing that offers excellent resilience.  Designed to seal in applications where large run-out or excentricity of the shaft exists. The natural elastic properties, of silicone cord helps to keep the packing sealed to the mixer shaft and to the bore of the stuffing box. .
